![]() ![]() ![]() The trip advisor reviews also all seem to be written by friends of Alex so don’t trust them. I got a feeling this place is scam based on the other reviews I have read of people being kicked out for breaking a door that had a sign that isn’t visible. Additionally, the room was so hot and to get any air we would have to open the door to the hallway which totally takes away from the experience (if you can even call it that). The worker continued to come in to seemingly mock us saying “still wrong” and then continued to explain us out of the room while we still had plenty of time. But since the puzzle was faulty we’re having to try different solutions. Near the end the, employee came into the room to explain what we had already figured out. Several puzzles had been solved but the doors they unlocked did not open correctly. When asking for clues, the explanation displayed on the screen was so condescending. The puzzles were messy, all over the place and broken. Just completed the hacker room which had a 17% escape rate which let me tell you why. Sharing this here since the people need to know. There's creepy music playing the entire time (Though, perhaps, they could have punched the bass up a little so the room seemed to throb), bloody handprints of a victim being dragged into the lair of the vampire on the floor. Looking forward to coming back to try Judgment some time.Īs an artist, I do appreciate the use of theme in the room. My group escaped in about 48 minutes using all 3 clues. There's a little bit of everything in terms of the puzzles: Scavenger hunts, brain teasers, some tricks involving blacklight flashlights. There are built in jump scares and yes they're cheesy but it's a B-Movie so it works. It's a neat touch that really sells the room. The room is in the dark and your first task is to find your flashlights. It's a B-Movie romp in a Vampire's Castle. The theme for Licastro's Lair is well executed. My friend group ran Licastro's Lair at the Grand Rapids Escape Room. ![]()
